Can somebody Explain - Please - Guild Wars Forums

I have guild wars, i am very happy with my level 10 character, but i want to get the expansions factions and nightfall, but dont want to create a new character. My question is, on nightfall and factions do you have all the same settings, friends, guild, but with extras when installed. Thanks

All you need to do with a new campaign is install it, add the key to your account, and take the necessary quests top reach Cantha and Elona respectively. You lose nothing by doing this

(WARNING: the ideal level for the Elona quest is 20, as you will be facing L28 foes to get there)

If you combine the new product keys into your existing account then it makes one big game and you can take your Tyrian born toon to any of the lands.

Your friends list, guild, and characters are all account based, so if you add the game key for an additional chapter onto your existing account, then you'll be good to go.

Im sure he ll find people that help him, and if he doesnt , I ll monk for him

True. I did it with my L15 Ele with a L20 W/Mo guildy and hench =\

Keep in mind that after you add the Factions and Nightfall keys to your account you will need to reach a certain map spot to be able to port over your Prophecies character. Once you reach Lion's Arch you'll see a ship icon appear on your map to travel to the other chapter's continents (Cantha and Elona).
